May 9th - June 6th, 2026
1) Friendly - URGENT Reminder & ACTION!
CLUB MEMBERSHIP OF SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2025 - AUGUST 31ST, 2026
FINAL DEADLINE: March 1st, 2026 - It is officially closed till next term of September 1st, 2026 - August 31st, 2027 to be available in late July 2026.
2) Final Total of Club Membership: 112 Club Members for 2025 - 26!
3) Club’s 2026 - 27 Calendar project - We are now working on the upcoming New Calendar plan w/ many new events/plans w/ dates from now on till the final review/editing during our club general meeting on June 16th for final approval. It should be fully ready for calendar sales w/ club membership forrms for renewals or new members/payments in late July.
4) Host Committee Executives of 4th Alberta Deaf 55+ Games (4th AD55+G 2026) Edmonton on August 10th - 13th, 2026
News Updates
a) Wonderful NEWS! AD 55 Club is now requesting all of you to share this wonderful news with your respective friends/Deaf community in your home area/city - province that our proposal was already approved last February. Those hearing participants w/ ASL Skills will be fully welcomed to join, register, pay fees and participate with all of us for this upcoming 4th AD55+G 2026 this year. It will be a wonderful opportunity for a “wholesome” Deaf community in Alberta and across Canada to gather and play among ourselves so well upon a trial basis this summer before proceeding to include the same group for our upcoming 2nd CD55+G - August 2027 in Calgary next year. Hands Waves & THUMBS UP!
b) Our H C - 10 Executives & 4 + 2 Sub-Committee Head Directors are now expanded to 6 Sub-Committee Head Directors; Laurie Barnes as DeafBlind Games Coordinator and Conie Gongos as Deaf Plus Games Coordinator - Huge Welcome to our 2 new Head Directors; Laurie & Connie to our bigger host team - Hands Waves!! As of today, there are already 60+ Games Registrants Smiles & Cheers! YES - We are still accepting more Games Regsitration forms coming in till our final deadline of Tuesday, July 14th. We are now in active process of emailing our Menu Choice Form to all registered Participants in Calgary, Winnipeg and BC residents this week. OK!

Chrissy’s special message as our Games coordinator - She thanked all participants for their wonderful support/cooperation through the full year since last fall to today - May 9th as our last Saturday of the year, successfully. What is more, she really appreciated how wonderful those participants brought their respective favourite menu to share among ourselves for our delicious meal to eat and enjoy our social times together - Smiles/Cheers!
Also, she is eagerly looking forward to volunteer - coordinate it again for the upcoming term of 2026 - 27.
Hats off for EAD for its wonderful community support of hall usage for all of us to play those 8 Saturday Monthly events through the full year.

b) Spring Event: All-Day F U N Games at MPCA site in Calgary Saturday, May 23rd at 1 pm - 8 pm. There were 50+ participants playing several games and eating pizza supper treat Our THANKS & APPRECIATION / Well Done to Joseph Olar, Zahra Bhajee & Samuel for huge success / good times!c) AD 55 Club’s Annual Summer Supper / Games Gathering Party at Taylor Farm site on Saturday, June 6th - There were 55+ attendants playing some games for prizes, eating delicious home-style supper meal/plenty of dessert/choices to fill up and enjoy good luck of 50/50 draws and door prizes-

6) BIG NEWS - URGENT REMINDERS FOR our club’s 2 Events as follows;
A) AD55 Club’s 1st Annual Canada Day Celebration - Bingo Games at EADCC at 11 am - 3 pm - Lunch Pizza/Drinks together plus at 3 pm playing “Pass the Ace” games for prizes till 5 pm SMILES! More Info/ Flyer - Ticket Sales of $10 per person for Dinner/Bingo is now ready for purchases till June 25th.

B) 4th Alberta Deaf 55+ Games including DeafBlind, Deaf Plus and Hearing w/ ASL Skills, aged 18+ in Edmonton on August 10th - 13th!
